So today was a nice day for a magazine read
I went to get the car washed so it was a nice time to catch up on some magazine reading. I picked up my Maximum PC mag and headed for the car wash and here is the stories that I felt were worth posting.
EZ-D Discs on the way
A while ago there was some talk about these discs that would start to decay one the Oxygen hit the surface. They are called EZ-D(estructo) discs. The discs will last two days then the disc will no longer be able to be read by a DVD player. Disney will be first to use this technology and will be releasing "The Recruit", "Signs", and "The Hot Chick" on this new technology. I wonder, if any, what copy protection will be used to prevent ripping of these discs.
Turbo Tax dumps the copy protection
It turns out that Intuit is not happy with the Copy Protection as well. Besides the numerous complaints from users from not being able to remove the copy protection after removing the software, the software did not make sales expectations either. They have stated that the new versions of Turbo Tax will not incorperate the copy protection. So I guess the Warez kiddies make sales after all.
